Not only is Earthbound artwork rare in our group, but the unique style of the artist is very cool and fun to look at. It compliments the characters very well. Wow. That's my overall reaction to this piece. The composition is spectacular, even if it's just Samus standing on a desolate rock. It's very vertical, which gets the point across that Samus is a steadfast, strong willed hunter. The use of tenebrism is very well done here, and suits the piece very nicely. It certainly helps much more with that intense feeling. But I have to say that the use of Aether in the background was probably one of the strongest points of the piece. To some it might strike as filler, but I have to say that it gives it that ominous, almost sublime feeling that Metroid Prime 2 has. ~ Chosen by: Black-Boo and DrMistyTang THIRD PLACE:

There were A LOT of Legend of Zelda entries in our contest, and to me this one is definitely the most unique. The style and the detailing made the cartoonist in me very happy. Concept 
Girls Only! We all know Mario and Link and all those hundreds of other male video game characters. But what about the girls? Let's show them some love in a cool way that shows how awesome they are!
Keep in mind I'm a stickler about how women should be represented if you
respect them. So, no super-sexy stuff will be allowed. Read on!
Here are some additional rules and clarification:-- You can have up to five female characters in one picture. But no more than that.
-- Crossovers are fine.
-- No fan pairings.
-- No boys can be anywhere in the picture. It's all girls this time!
-- You can, however draw generic baddies (like goombas, crocs, etc.)
-- No pillowfights, sleepovers, or bikinis (unless the character actually wore one) are allowed. Let's get a little more creative with our girls this time.
-- The female you choose can be a main character or even a side character. It doesn't matter to us!
-- No gender bending. (Don't make Mario into a girl just so you can draw him for the contest.)
-- 3rd party video games
are allowed. (Like Sonic the Hedgehog)
-- Do not draw your chosen female as a slut. Booty shots and boobs the size of Manhattan will not be accepted.
-- You CANNOT draw fake video game characters. They must be real ones.
-- Do not put your chosen female into a form she was never in! I.E. Don't draw Samus as a cat.
-- Do not submit old drawings. All art submitted to the contest must have been made after 01-12-12
-- Try not to trace official screenshots/artworks etc. If you copied something, you will be deducted points during voting.
-- Miis are not allowed.
-- No Kingdom Hearts.
-- Sheik is a woman.
-- You can't use video games based off of movies or TV shows.
-- Your artwork can be any media. (Writing is fine too. Believe me; a writer CAN be chosen if he/she is good at it.)
-- When you're done with your entry, comment with a link to it here, and also add it to the

How to gain favor with the judgesThe judges I choose are always looking for creativity and originality as well as artwork. So, the person with the best artwork won't necessarily place in the judging section.
Here are some tips;
[x] Put effort into your work. Even if you're not the best artist out there, we can tell when you put energy and love into your art.
[x] Make a scene! Don't just have your characters standing around looking at nothing! Have them interacting somehow. ^0^
[x] Be unexpected! Draw girls nobody else would think of! We're expecting a huge surplus of Peaches and Zeldas, so if you want to stand out this is a great idea!

Prizes 
Because half the people out there think that popular vote is unfair, and the other half think that a panel of judges is unfair, we're going to do both! Three will be decided by popular vote, and three will be decided by a panel of judges.
The judges will decide on their winners first, so if you manage to get a place in the judging section, you will not be able to place in the popular vote section. This way will we get six different winners.
Variety is key!
If anyone is interested in doing a request art for one of the winners, either note the club or comment here. Just tell us how many artworks and of what type you'd like to do. Examples: six sketches, two full-blown artworks, etc.
If you're able to feature a winner/winners, let us know!
Also, if anybody wants to give away subscriptions or Nintendo Merchandise to the winners, let us know. Yes. You can give prizes AND enter the contest if you want to.
